Born in Montreal, Canada in 1951, Stéphan Daigle has built an international reputation as a painter and illustrator since the eighties. His works has been exhibited in Tokyo, Paris, London, New York, Toronto and Montréal.

All his images are created classicly with acrylics or gouaches on paper and on some occasions on a canvas.

Stephan has not always created art for children. He chose to invest his creativity in illustration after attending a children’s book illustration show. Recently he did reconnected enthusiastically with his love of childrens' books and decided to write and illustrate books for the young. Sacha, his six years old son, is surely a big part in that process.

Stéphan claimed the influences of modern masters such as Kandinsky, Klee, Ernst and Dubuffet. He also feels a deep connection with what is known as "Primitive Arts"
